LCW Night of Horrors 2009 Pay-Per-View Results 10.11.09

LCW Night of Horrors 2009 Pay-Per-View (October 11, 2009) live from the TD Center in Boston, MA.

Tonight’s show is dedicated in loving memory to the wife of Harley Race, Beverly “BJ” Race.

From the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway who came out to the entrance stage with a microphone and said, “This is obviously not how we planned to open the show tonight, but I thought it was important that we do this. LCW General Manager Harley Race won’t be here tonight. For those of you who don’t know, who maybe haven’t already heard, Harley’s wife, Beverly ‘BJ’ Race, passed away on Friday. We’d just like to take a minute, if we could, and have you all join us in honoring this very special lady with a moment of silence. Thank you.” Calaway closed his eyes and bowed his head as the audience fell silent for ten seconds. The audience started to chant Harley’s name and from the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone somberly said, “That’s as much for Beverly as it is for Harley. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Harley.”

After the moment of silence, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced Breaking Benjamin, who performed “I Will Not Bow” as footage from the past few weeks of action in Legends Championship Wrestling played on the LegendsTron including Sid Vicious’ attack on Stone Cold Steve Austin and Magnum TA’s victory over Goldberg two weeks ago to become Austin’s replacement in the match.

The Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defeated Tito Santana in 9:31 by pinfall after the Flying Burrito. After the match, Fernandez helped a cautious Santana to his feet and shook Santana’s hand. Santana went to leave the ring and Fernandez attacked him from behind. Fernandez looked into the camera and said, “Never turn your back on the bull.” Fernandez then locked Santana in the Bull’s Brand triangle choke as security officials ran into the ring and tried to make Fernandez break the hold. Fernandez eventually broke the hold and looked into the camera again and said, “You’ll get the horns,” before leaving ringside.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Col. Robert Parker and Maw Bass about their reuniting and uniting the forces of Stan Hansen, the Bass Brothers, Dirty Dutch Mantel, and Black Bart. Parker said the Desperados were going to become the most dominant force in Legends Championship Wrestling. Mooney asked about Cowboy Bob Orton and Dirty Dick Slater and Parker said he didn’t want to talk about “those two ingrates.” Parker said he was going to take a real tag team, a great tag team, the Bass Brothers to the LCW World Tag Team Championships tonight! The Bass Brothers appeared and asked Parker if he and Maw Bass were ready to go because they were up next. Parker asked them if they were ready and they said they were ready to get nasty. They all laughed as they walked away.

Outlaw Ron Bass and Cowboy Don Bass (with Col. Robert Parker and Maw Bass) defeated LCW World Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys in 6:42 by pinfall after Dirty Dick Slater hit Sags with a running bulldog outside the ring and then rolled Sags into the ring where Ron Bass pinned him. After the match, Orton joined Slater on the entrance ramp and mouthed, “We’re coming for you,” to the Bass Brothers and signaled that the titles would soon belong to them.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Kevin Sullivan, with his valet Luna Vachon and her sister Lock, about his upcoming match with One Man Gang. Sullivan said he was going to break One Man Gang just like Luna Vachon broke Gang’s heart. Mooney went to ask Vachon about being the special guest referee and Sullivan grabbed the microphone and said, “She knows what to do!” Sullivan told Lock to stay there and focus on winning the Lady Legends battle royal. Sullivan grabbed Vachon and dragged her away.

One Man Gang and Kevin Sullivan wrestled to a no contest in 6:12 after special guest referee Luna Vachon hit Sullivan with a low blow and then hit Gang with a low blow before walking out of the ring. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone said, “Luna Vachon has just declared her independence from Kevin Sullivan, but why would she do that to One Man Gang?” Larry Zbyszko said, “Maybe she doesn’t need him either.”

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Wildfire Tommy Rich and Missy Hyatt about his upcoming match with Austin Idol. He said from day one he didn’t need anybody. He didn’t need Austin Idol or Hollywood John Tatum to become the LCW Television Champion. He said he had proved he was better than Tatum adding that he not only beat him in the ring, but took his girl as well. He said he was going to prove once and for all tonight that he was better than Austin Idol. Rich said, “Tonight, I’m finishing Austin Idol and moving on to bigger and better things.”

Austin Idol defeated Wildfire Tommy Rich (with Missy Hyatt) in 8:31 by pinfall with a rollup after Missy accidentally hit Rich with her loaded purse. After the match, Missy tried to apologize to Rich, but he left ringside without her.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Sid Vicious who said he had heard Magnum TA talking about becoming the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship by beating him tonight. Vicious said there was one thing that Magnum forgot when he made that statement: “He has to go through me!” Vicious said he was going to beat Magnum TA tonight to become the new LCW Universal Champion because he was, “The master and the ruler of the world. And tonight, I will become the champion…of the universe!” Sid smiled an evil smile at Ventura and then walked away.

LCW Heritage Champion Bret Hart defeated Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) in 6:59 by submission with the Sharpshooter.

In the back, Lock was shown making her way to the ring when someone attacked her from behind and slammed her head first into a steel door knocking her out cold.

Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta went to introduce Lock, but she didn’t come out. Cappetta again announced Lock’s name, but instead of Lock, Luna Vachon came out. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone asked, “Was that Luna Vachon that attacked Lock?” Larry Zbyszko said, “It must have been. Luna Vachon took out her own sister to get her spot in the battle royal back.” Schiavone said, “It was Luna Vachon who LCW General Manager Harley Race originally offered the spot in the battle royal. It was Kevin Sullivan that took it away from Luna and gave it to her sister, Lock.” Zbyszko said, “And it was Luna Vachon who just took it back, Tony!” After Vachon was in the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta explained the rules: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following match will determine which eight Lady Legends will compete in a tournament to crown the new LCW Women’s Champion. When we are down to the final eight women in the ring, those women will move on to an eight-woman tournament over the course of the next few weeks.”

Ivory, Leilani Kai, Luna Vachon, Rockin' Robin, Wendi Richter, Spider Lady, Debbie Combs and Jacqueline won the eight tournament spots in 15:34 in the 20-woman battle royal which also included Donna Christanello, Judy Martin, Mad Maxine, Peggy Lee Leather, Terri Powers, Joyce Grable, Velvet McIntyre, Susan Sexton, Heidi Lee Morgan, Lady Apache, Bambi, and Candi Deivne.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams and asked him about his recent cancer diagnosis. Before Williams could even respond, Bill Goldberg approached him and said, “I just want to say that I really admire you, man. I just want to say this right, this isn’t some bullsh*t game to get in your head or anything, I swear to you, man. This is from the heart, brother. Anybody else would’ve given up by now. Anybody else would have walked away. Anybody else would have gone to Calaway and said, “I can’t do it,” and surrendered the title. But not you and I know why. I’ve seen your stuff in Watts’ territory. I’ve seen the Japanese stuff, man. I’ve seen you mowing down everybody in this place since day one! You did what I did in WCW for a year for a whole decade. You were undefeated. I’m going to go out there tonight just like I know you are. I’m going to go out there tonight to beat you for that title just like you’re trying to beat me to hold onto it and I want you to bring everything you’ve got. I want you to forget about everything that’s ahead of you and everything that’s behind you and focus on one thing: me. Because I’m coming at you like I know you’re coming at me: like a champion, like a legend, like a warrior. I only want one thing from you tonight, Dr. Death, and believe it or not, it’s not your title. It’s your best. I want you to bring your best. No matter what happens out there, rise or fall, I want to say I battled Dr. Death Steve Williams at his best! Can you do that for me, Steve? Can you bring your best?” Williams said, simply, “You’ve got it, brother.”

LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams defeated Bill Goldberg in 23:36 by pinfall with the Homicide Backdrop Bridge. During the match, referee David Manning was knocked out by LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page came out and tried to hit Williams with the Diamond Cutter. Williams pushed out of the move and Goldberg hit Page with the Spear and then kicked Page out of the ring. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone said, “It is clear that Bill Goldberg wants to do this on his own.” As Goldberg was rolling Page out of the ring, Williams got in position to hit Goldberg with the three-point stance shoulder block, but didn’t when Goldberg turned around. Instead, Williams went outside the ring, grabbed a bottle of water from ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta and poured it on the referee’s head. The referee regained consciousness and Williams helped him to his feet. From the broadcast booth, Larry Zbyszko said, “These are two men who want to prove to the other that they are the best. This isn’t about a title, Tony. This is about pride and respect for these two men. Williams wants to prove to the young lion that he can still go and Goldberg wants to prove the king of the pride that he belongs.” Unclear what was happening, the referee saw both men standing and told them to start wrestling again. Williams and Goldberg stood face to face before they started exchanging blows to start the match again. Goldberg eventually hit Williams with the Spear and then hit him with the Jackhammer. Williams kicked out of the pinfall attempt and Goldberg, shocked, went into position for another Spear. As Williams slowly made it to his feet, Goldberg launched himself toward Williams who ducked down and caught Goldberg with a vicious spinebuster. Schiavone said, “Those two could have collided head first like two bulls if Williams hadn’t ducked down far enough. They could have killed each other.” Zbyszko said, “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life, Tony!” Williams got to his feet and picked up Goldberg and hit him with the Oklahoma Stampede. Williams made a pinfall attempt, but Goldberg kicked out. Williams then hit Goldberg with the Doctor Bomb, but Goldberg kicked out of another pinfall attempt. As a tired Williams staggered to his feet and Goldberg crawled around and slowly got to his feet on instinct, Williams grabbed Goldberg and hit him with the Homicide Backdrop Bridge for the pinfall and the win! An exhausted Williams was handed the title by the referee who helped Williams to his feet. Williams then walked over to Goldberg and helped Goldberg to his feet. A disappointed Goldberg hugged Williams and raised his arm in victory before leaving the ring and Williams to celebrate with the fans. As Williams celebrated, Schiavone said, from the broadcast booth, “I don’t think anybody was expecting to see the match that we just saw out of those two men, but boy did they deliver in a big way. What a match!” Zbyszko said, “Yeah, that may have been the match of the year right there, Tony.”

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko announced the “Showdown Championship Draft” which Schiavone said would change the next ten weeks of Legends Championship Wrestling and could impact the history of the company forever. Zbyszko said he didn’t know what that meant, but he was looking forward to finding out this Wednesday on LCW Showdown.

Magnum TA (defending the LCW Universal Championship on behalf of Stone Cold Steve Austin) defeated Sid Vicious in 16:26 by pinfall after the belly-to-belly suplex after LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin interfered and hit Vicious with the Stone Cold Stunner. As a result of the victory, Magnum TA became the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship. After the match, Magnum and Austin stood face to face with the title belt between them as the show went off the air.
