LCW Night of Horrors 2009 Pay-Per-View Results 10.11.09

LCW Night of Horrors 2009 Pay-Per-View (October 11, 2009) live from the TD Center in Boston, MA.

Tonight’s show is dedicated in loving memory to the wife of Harley Race, Beverly “BJ” Race.

From the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway who came out to the entrance stage with a microphone and said, “This is obviously not how we planned to open the show tonight, but I thought it was important that we do this. LCW General Manager Harley Race won’t be here tonight. For those of you who don’t know, who maybe haven’t already heard, Harley’s wife, Beverly ‘BJ’ Race, passed away on Friday. We’d just like to take a minute, if we could, and have you all join us in honoring this very special lady with a moment of silence. Thank you.” Calaway closed his eyes and bowed his head as the audience fell silent for ten seconds. The audience started to chant Harley’s name and from the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone somberly said, “That’s as much for Beverly as it is for Harley. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Harley.”

After the moment of silence, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta introduced Breaking Benjamin, who performed “I Will Not Bow” as footage from the past few weeks of action in Legends Championship Wrestling played on the LegendsTron including Sid Vicious’ attack on Stone Cold Steve Austin and Magnum TA’s victory over Goldberg two weeks ago to become Austin’s replacement in the match.

The Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defeated Tito Santana in 9:31 by pinfall after the Flying Burrito. After the match, Fernandez helped a cautious Santana to his feet and shook Santana’s hand. Santana went to leave the ring and Fernandez attacked him from behind. Fernandez looked into the camera and said, “Never turn your back on the bull.” Fernandez then locked Santana in the Bull’s Brand triangle choke as security officials ran into the ring and tried to make Fernandez break the hold. Fernandez eventually broke the hold and looked into the camera again and said, “You’ll get the horns,” before leaving ringside.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Col. Robert Parker and Maw Bass about their reuniting and uniting the forces of Stan Hansen, the Bass Brothers, Dirty Dutch Mantel, and Black Bart. Parker said the Desperados were going to become the most dominant force in Legends Championship Wrestling. Mooney asked about Cowboy Bob Orton and Dirty Dick Slater and Parker said he didn’t want to talk about “those two ingrates.” Parker said he was going to take a real tag team, a great tag team, the Bass Brothers to the LCW World Tag Team Championships tonight! The Bass Brothers appeared and asked Parker if he and Maw Bass were ready to go because they were up next. Parker asked them if they were ready and they said they were ready to get nasty. They all laughed as they walked away.

Outlaw Ron Bass and Cowboy Don Bass (with Col. Robert Parker and Maw Bass) defeated LCW World Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys in 6:42 by pinfall after Dirty Dick Slater hit Sags with a running bulldog outside the ring and then rolled Sags into the ring where Ron Bass pinned him. After the match, Orton joined Slater on the entrance ramp and mouthed, “We’re coming for you,” to the Bass Brothers and signaled that the titles would soon belong to them.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Kevin Sullivan, with his valet Luna Vachon and her sister Lock, about his upcoming match with One Man Gang. Sullivan said he was going to break One Man Gang just like Luna Vachon broke Gang’s heart. Mooney went to ask Vachon about being the special guest referee and Sullivan grabbed the microphone and said, “She knows what to do!” Sullivan told Lock to stay there and focus on winning the Lady Legends battle royal. Sullivan grabbed Vachon and dragged her away.

One Man Gang and Kevin Sullivan wrestled to a no contest in 6:12 after special guest referee Luna Vachon hit Sullivan with a low blow and then hit Gang with a low blow before walking out of the ring. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone said, “Luna Vachon has just declared her independence from Kevin Sullivan, but why would she do that to One Man Gang?” Larry Zbyszko said, “Maybe she doesn’t need him either.”

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Wildfire Tommy Rich and Missy Hyatt about his upcoming match with Austin Idol. He said from day one he didn’t need anybody. He didn’t need Austin Idol or Hollywood John Tatum to become the LCW Television Champion. He said he had proved he was better than Tatum adding that he not only beat him in the ring, but took his girl as well. He said he was going to prove once and for all tonight that he was better than Austin Idol. Rich said, “Tonight, I’m finishing Austin Idol and moving on to bigger and better things.”

Austin Idol defeated Wildfire Tommy Rich (with Missy Hyatt) in 8:31 by pinfall with a rollup after Missy accidentally hit Rich with her loaded purse. After the match, Missy tried to apologize to Rich, but he left ringside without her.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed former LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA about his upcoming main event match with Sid Vicious in which he would be defending the LCW Universal Championship on behalf of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Magnum said he was going to beat Vicious and go on to face Austin at LCW Redemption Day to get his title back.

LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page defeated Paul Orndorff in 7:56 by pinfall after the Diamond Cutter.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed Sid Vicious who said he had heard Magnum TA talking about becoming the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship by beating him tonight. Vicious said there was one thing that Magnum forgot when he made that statement: “He has to go through me!” Vicious said he was going to beat Magnum TA tonight to become the new LCW Universal Champion because he was, “The master and the ruler of the world. And tonight, I will become the champion…of the universe!” Sid smiled an evil smile at Ventura and then walked away.

LCW Heritage Champion Bret Hart defeated Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart) in 6:59 by submission with the Sharpshooter.

In the back, Lock was shown making her way to the ring when someone attacked her from behind and slammed her head first into a steel door knocking her out cold.

Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta went to introduce Lock, but she didn’t come out. Cappetta again announced Lock’s name, but instead of Lock, Luna Vachon came out. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone asked, “Was that Luna Vachon that attacked Lock?” Larry Zbyszko said, “It must have been. Luna Vachon took out her own sister to get her spot in the battle royal back.” Schiavone said, “It was Luna Vachon who LCW General Manager Harley Race originally offered the spot in the battle royal. It was Kevin Sullivan that took it away from Luna and gave it to her sister, Lock.” Zbyszko said, “And it was Luna Vachon who just took it back, Tony!” After Vachon was in the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta explained the rules: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following match will determine which eight Lady Legends will compete in a tournament to crown the new LCW Women’s Champion. When we are down to the final eight women in the ring, those women will move on to an eight-woman tournament over the course of the next few weeks.”

Ivory, Leilani Kai, Luna Vachon, Rockin' Robin, Wendi Richter, Spider Lady, Debbie Combs and Jacqueline won the eight tournament spots in 15:34 in the 20-woman battle royal which also included Donna Christanello, Judy Martin, Mad Maxine, Peggy Lee Leather, Terri Powers, Joyce Grable, Velvet McIntyre, Susan Sexton, Heidi Lee Morgan, Lady Apache, Bambi, and Candi Deivne.
The order of elimination is the following:
- Lady Apache was eliminated by Mad Maxine at 1:38.
- Judy Martin was eliminated by Wendi Richter at 1:42.
- Terri Powers was eliminated by Mad Maxine at 4:12.
- Susan Sexton was eliminated by Ivory and Jacqueline at 6:01.
- Heidi Lee Morgan eliminated herself at 7:21 when she tried to dodge Mad Maxine and fell out of the ring.
- Bambi was eliminated by Candi Devine at 7:25 when Bambi was laughing at Heidi.
- Joyce Grable was eliminated by Mad Maxine at 9:12. Grable had to be helped up the ramp after she landed on her left knee.
- Donna Christanello was eliminated by Spider Lady at 11:45.
- Candi Devine was eliminated by Luna Vachon at 11:58.
- Velvet McIntyre was eliminated by Peggy Lee Leather at 13:10.
- Peggy Lee Leather was eliminated by Mad Maxine at 14:30.
- Mad Maxine was eliminated by Luna Vachon and Spider Lady in 15:34.

In the back, Jesse The Body Ventura interviewed LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams and asked him about his recent cancer diagnosis. Before Williams could even respond, Bill Goldberg approached him and said, “I just want to say that I really admire you, man. I just want to say this right, this isn’t some bullsh*t game to get in your head or anything, I swear to you, man. This is from the heart, brother. Anybody else would’ve given up by now. Anybody else would have walked away. Anybody else would have gone to Calaway and said, “I can’t do it,” and surrendered the title. But not you and I know why. I’ve seen your stuff in Watts’ territory. I’ve seen the Japanese stuff, man. I’ve seen you mowing down everybody in this place since day one! You did what I did in WCW for a year for a whole decade. You were undefeated. I’m going to go out there tonight just like I know you are. I’m going to go out there tonight to beat you for that title just like you’re trying to beat me to hold onto it and I want you to bring everything you’ve got. I want you to forget about everything that’s ahead of you and everything that’s behind you and focus on one thing: me. Because I’m coming at you like I know you’re coming at me: like a champion, like a legend, like a warrior. I only want one thing from you tonight, Dr. Death, and believe it or not, it’s not your title. It’s your best. I want you to bring your best. No matter what happens out there, rise or fall, I want to say I battled Dr. Death Steve Williams at his best! Can you do that for me, Steve? Can you bring your best?” Williams said, simply, “You’ve got it, brother.”

LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams defeated Bill Goldberg in 23:36 by pinfall with the Homicide Backdrop Bridge. During the match, referee David Manning was knocked out by LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page came out and tried to hit Williams with the Diamond Cutter. Williams pushed out of the move and Goldberg hit Page with the Spear and then kicked Page out of the ring. From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone said, “It is clear that Bill Goldberg wants to do this on his own.” As Goldberg was rolling Page out of the ring, Williams got in position to hit Goldberg with the three-point stance shoulder block, but didn’t when Goldberg turned around. Instead, Williams went outside the ring, grabbed a bottle of water from ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta and poured it on the referee’s head. The referee regained consciousness and Williams helped him to his feet. From the broadcast booth, Larry Zbyszko said, “These are two men who want to prove to the other that they are the best. This isn’t about a title, Tony. This is about pride and respect for these two men. Williams wants to prove to the young lion that he can still go and Goldberg wants to prove the king of the pride that he belongs.” Unclear what was happening, the referee saw both men standing and told them to start wrestling again. Williams and Goldberg stood face to face before they started exchanging blows to start the match again. Goldberg eventually hit Williams with the Spear and then hit him with the Jackhammer. Williams kicked out of the pinfall attempt and Goldberg, shocked, went into position for another Spear. As Williams slowly made it to his feet, Goldberg launched himself toward Williams who ducked down and caught Goldberg with a vicious spinebuster. Schiavone said, “Those two could have collided head first like two bulls if Williams hadn’t ducked down far enough. They could have killed each other.” Zbyszko said, “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life, Tony!” Williams got to his feet and picked up Goldberg and hit him with the Oklahoma Stampede. Williams made a pinfall attempt, but Goldberg kicked out. Williams then hit Goldberg with the Doctor Bomb, but Goldberg kicked out of another pinfall attempt. As a tired Williams staggered to his feet and Goldberg crawled around and slowly got to his feet on instinct, Williams grabbed Goldberg and hit him with the Homicide Backdrop Bridge for the pinfall and the win! An exhausted Williams was handed the title by the referee who helped Williams to his feet. Williams then walked over to Goldberg and helped Goldberg to his feet. A disappointed Goldberg hugged Williams and raised his arm in victory before leaving the ring and Williams to celebrate with the fans. As Williams celebrated, Schiavone said, from the broadcast booth, “I don’t think anybody was expecting to see the match that we just saw out of those two men, but boy did they deliver in a big way. What a match!” Zbyszko said, “Yeah, that may have been the match of the year right there, Tony.”

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko announced the “Showdown Championship Draft” which Schiavone said would change the next ten weeks of Legends Championship Wrestling and could impact the history of the company forever. Zbyszko said he didn’t know what that meant, but he was looking forward to finding out this Wednesday on LCW Showdown.

Magnum TA (defending the LCW Universal Championship on behalf of Stone Cold Steve Austin) defeated Sid Vicious in 16:26 by pinfall after the belly-to-belly suplex after LCW Universal Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin interfered and hit Vicious with the Stone Cold Stunner. As a result of the victory, Magnum TA became the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship. After the match, Magnum and Austin stood face to face with the title belt between them as the show went off the air.

LCW Night of Horrors 2009 Pay-Per-View Official Preview

Lady Legends Battle Royal:
When the LCW Board of Directors named Harley Race as the new LCW General Manager, they, along with the LCW audience, had absolutely no idea what to expect. Race, on only his second official night on the job, announced that he was bringing back the Lady Legends division to Legends Championship Wrestling. Immediately, that sparked intrigue within the ranks of LCW, as well as the fans, to see just who would be brought in with it. Here's how things will go down: 20 ladies will compete in a battle royal until we are down to the final eight. Those eight ladies will then compete in a single elimination tournament over four weeks on LCW Showdown. The four winners will face Madusa Micelli, the last LCW Women's Champion, in a four-way elimination match to determine who walks out as the new LCW Women's Champion. So who will it be? Could it be Lock, the sister of Luna Vachon? Could it be Peggy Lee Leather who's devastating Last Call finisher has put down many women in the past. Or perhaps it's the mysterious Spider Lady who we have yet to find out the identity of. Or perhaps, just perhaps, the eight we're left with won't be any of the aforementioned three. The only way to find out is to tune in to LCW Night of Horrors this Sunday.

Wildfire Tommy Rich (with Missy Hyatt) vs. Austin Idol:
The feud between Wildfire Tommy Rich and Austin Idol reaches a fever pitch this Sunday at the LCW Night of Horrors pay-per-view. At LCW Beach Brawl in July, Rich and his partner Tracey Smothers beat Idol and Hollywood John Tatum in a tag team match – but the celebration didn't last long – as Rich turned on Smothers post-match. Then, at LCW Caged Heat, after Rich had destroyed Smothers inside a steel cage, Rich continued attacking Smothers until Idol appeared and the two brawled inside the cage. This Sunday at LCW Night of Horrors, it will all end as the two meet for bragging rights inside the squared circle.
Prediction: Rich to take the match.

One Man Gang vs. Kevin Sullivan with Luna Vachon as special guest referee:
One Man Gang and Kevin Sullivan are waging a war – a war for Gang of love and a war for Sullivan of control, a war for both over Luna Vachon. This all began when Gang saved Vachon from a raging Sullivan and promised to be “her knight in shining armor”. Vachon is unsure of where her loyalties lie, as proved two weeks ago on LCW Showdown when she refused to help Sullivan who was trapped in a submission hold by LCW Heritage Champion Bret Hart. Who will come out on top – and with the girl – after LCW Night of Horrors?!
Prediction: Vachon's heart rules her head and she helps Gang to victory.

Tito Santana vs. Manny Fernandez:
When the Raging Bull” Manny Fernandez was revealed as the man who continuously attacked Tito Santana, it lit a fire under Santana, and at LCW Night of Horrors, he hopes to get his redemption. Fernandez, in recent weeks being called a bully, promised to put down Santana once and for all, while Santana vowed that he had taken down bullies before and will do it again. Can the Mexico native, with his flying forearm smash take down the Raging Bull who, when he locks in his Bulls Brand choke hold, can put almost anyone away? Or will the Bull once again come out on top over the former Matador?
Prediction: Santana has a tall task ahead of him, but if anyone can do it, it's Santana. Santana to win.

LCW World Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys vs. Outlaw Ron Bass and Cowboy Don Bass (with Maw Bass):
The Bass Brothers get an opportunity at title belts that very few others ever get, when they take on LCW World Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys at LCW Night of Horrors. Ron and Don Bass have been on a tag team roll the last few weeks, taking down such teams as the Fantastics in their quest for the tag team gold. But that's not to dismiss the champions, who have a reputation of being exactly what their name says: nasty. Only one team can survive at LCW Night of Horrors, and only one team will leave LCW World Tag Team Champions. However, one has to wonder whether the Bass Brothers will be distracted by Maw Bass' new love interest, Col. Robert Parker, and whether that will play a factor in this match.
Predictions: Thinking about more than just the match will spell demise for rhe Bass Brothers in this World Tag Team title match. Nasties to catch the Bass Brothers.

LCW Heritage Champion Bret Hart vs. Honky Tonk Man (with Jimmy Hart):
It's all about becoming the LCW Heritage Champion for the Honky Tonk Man, as he looks to take it from reigning champion Bret Hart. Hart won the title on the September 9th return edition of LCW Showdown, as a favor from LCW Christman of the Board Christian Calaway after Hart helped Calaway regain control of the company. Honky Tonk's impressive wins recently got him a shot at the belt. Can Honky Tonk – or even his manager Jimmy Hart – shake, rattle, and roll his way to the LCW Heritage Championship? Or will Bret Hart's extensive submission background carry him through another title defense?!?
Prediction: Jimmy Hart interferes giving Honky the title.

LCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page vs. Paul Orndorff:
Diamond Dallas Page has looked seemingly unstoppable the past few months, racking up the LCW United States Championship and the King of the Legends crown this year. However, Page faces his toughest test as he goes one on one with Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff this Sunday at LCW Night of Horrors. Orndorff isn't nicknamed Mr. Wonderful for no reason, at 6 foot 1, 253lbs, with his deadly spike piledriver finishing move, the former LCW Universal Champion may be the kryptonite that spells the end of the Diamond Cutter king.
Prediction: Mr. Wonderful puts a wonderful end to DDP's reign as champion.

LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams vs. Bill Goldberg:
By virtue of scoring the most eliminations the LCW Survival Project last month, Bill Goldberg gets a shot at LCW International Champion Dr. Death Steve Williams. Although, many believe that Goldberg may not be fully focused on Williams, after having lost the possibility of defending the LCW Universal Championship on behalf of Stone Cold Steve Austin, and an opportunity at the belt if he won. However, Goldberg's opponent – Dr. Death Steve Williams – is more than focused on the Human Wrecking Ball. These two may be pretty evenly matched, but concentration-wise, Williams may just have Goldberg's number. It's all down to the LCW International title match, this Sunday night.
Prediction: Dr. Death retains his title.

LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA vs. Sid Vicious:
Sid Vicious didn't get the name Vicious because it sounds cool. He is truly one of most dangerous men in the world. Vicious won the LCW Survival Project last month, and as a result of that, he earned himself an opportunity at the LCW Universal Championship. Vicious, however, wanting to destroy reigning champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, took it one step too far when he powerbombed Austin on the steel entrance stage before a match on LCW Showdown. That forced LCW General Manager Harley Race's hand. After speaking with his doctors, Race decided to declar Austin unfit to compete, and he was going to determine a stand-in for the Texas Rattlesnake. Magnum TA faced Bill Goldberg in the main event of LCW Showdown two weeks ago to determine exactly who would defend the title on Austin's behalf, and should that person be successful doing so, they get a title shot next month at LCW Redemption Day. Magnum caught Goldberg, and the former longest-reigning LCW Universal Champion will indeed defend the title on Austin's behalf. Can Magnum win the day against the destroyer Vicious, or will this be the day that Vicious ruled the LCW landscape? And will we see a live appearance by Austin, as promised on LCW Showdown this past week?!
Prediction: Magnum does what he did for a year, and retains the LCW Universal Title, setting up a dream match at LCW Redemption Day.

LCW Night of Horrors 2008 Pay-Per-View Results 10.19.08

LCW Night of Horrors Pay-Per-View Results (October 19, 2008) live from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.

From the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcomed everyone to LCW Night of Horrors 2008 as "Re-Education (Through Labor)" by Rise Against, the official theme song for LCW Night of Horrors 2008, played in the background and as fireworks exploded all over the arena. Schiavone and Zbyszko reviewed the complete card including the double main event featuring The Rock facing Ric Flair and LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA defending the title against Dr. Death Steve Williams.

Wildfire Tommy Rich defeated Universal Heartthrob Austin Idol in 5:11 by pinfall after the Wildfire Driver. Before the match, footage was shown from LCW Showdown two weeks ago when Rich and a stylist gave Idol an impromptu makeover covering Idol’s face in makeup and messing up his hair with gel.

In the back, LCW Universal Champion Magnum TA was shown arriving at the arena.

Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defeated Superstar Billy Graham in 6:31 by pinfall with a rollup with his feet on the ropes in a match to determine the number one contender for the LCW International Championship. After the match, from the broadcast booth, Tony Schiavone questioned Fernandez’s use the ropes for leverage in the pinfall, but Larry Zbyszko said that a real champion does whatever it takes to win.

In the back, Dr. Death Steve Williams and Cowboy Bill Watts were shown arriving in the arena parking lot. Bill Mercer approached them and Watts said, “Dr. Death has gone through everyone in Legends Championship Wrestling and there’s only one man left and that man is Magnum TA and tonight Dr. Death is going through Magnum TA and going home with the LCW Universal Championship.”

In the back, LCW Television Champion The Genius Lanny Poffo and Macho Man Randy Savage were shown attacking Ron Garvin. They re-injured Garvin’s broken hand and Savage threw Garvin head first into a steel door. Poffo then kicked Garvin in the head before security officials arrived and pulled Poffo and Savage away.

LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Bolsheviks (with General Skandor Akbar and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie) defeated The Fantastics in 6:01 by countout when Abdullah the Butcher interfered and joined the Bolsheviks in attacking both Rogers and Fulton outside the ring as Akbar and Al-Kassie distracted the referee. When the referee returned his attention to the action outside the ring, the Bolsheviks were in the ring and the referee started counting out the Fantastics outside the ring. After the match, the Fantastics tried to grab Akbar and Al-Kassie, but Akbar slipped away with the Bolsehviks and they left up the entrance ramp. Al-Kassie ran around the ring to get away from the Fantastics and slid under the ring. After giving up their search for Al-Kassie under the ring, the Fantastics left ringside.

In the back, Ron Garvin, bleeding and almost unconscious after being attacked by Macho Man Randy Savage and LCW Television Champion The Genius Lanny Poffo, was being attended to by a medical official and was trying to get up off the examining table. LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel approached the medic and Garvin and Bockwinkel asked the Garvin if he was fit to compete and the medic said he wasn’t. Garvin said he didn’t want to hear that and he tried to get off the examining table. Bockwinkel helped the medics hold Garvin down and Bockwinkel said if Garvin wasn’t cleared to wrestle he wasn’t going to wrestle tonight. Bockwinkel walked out and when he turned the corner he ran into Savage and Poffo who were laughing. Bockwinkel told them to stifle their laughter because Poffo would still be defending his title tonight and Bockwinkel was going to find his opponent now.

Ken Patera defeated LCW United States Champion Bob Backlund in 6:49 by pinfall after Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie, who was hiding under the ring, threw a fireball in Backlund’s face. After the match, Al-Kassie presented the title to Patera and the two men left ringside together.

In the back, Bill Mercer interviewed The Rock said he couldn’t deny that the Nature Boy Ric Flair was the man. Rock said he didn’t need to prove he was the man, but tonight he was going to beat the man because there was one thing that he needed more than proving that he was the man and that was the LCW Universal Championship. Rock said Flair could focus on being the man all he wanted to because that would be what would lead to Rock kicking his candy ass.

From the ring, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta came out and introduced LCW Television Champion The Genius Lanny Poffo who came out with Macho Man Randy Savage. LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel introduced his opponent…Brutus Beefcake!

Brutus Beefcake (substitute for Ron Garvin) defeated LCW Television Champion The Genius Lanny Poffo Garvin (with Macho Man Randy Savage) in 7:01 by pinfall to win the LCW Television Championship after Savage accidentally hit Poffo with a flying double axehandle. During the match, Beefcake, who had Poffo in the sleeper, turned around, saw Savage leaping from the top rope, released Poffo and Savage accidentally hit his brother with the flying double axehandle. Beefcake hit Savage with a high knee lift, sending Savage tumbling out of the ring before covering Poffo for the pinfall and the win.

In the back, the new LCW United States Champion Ken Patera celebrated with the members of the Disciples of Allah: General Skandor Akbar, Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie, The Iron Sheik, Abdullah the Butcher, and LCW United States Tag Team Champions The Bolsheviks.

In the back, Bill Mercer interviewed Mr. Fuji who said he wasn’t taking sides in the match between the Great Kabuki and Don Muraco tonight and said he wished both men luck and the man who won would continue to receive his managerial services. Fuji said the best man would win and he would make sure the best man won.

The Great Kabuki defeated Don Muraco in 4:07 by pinfall after the Powers of Pain interfered and attacked Muraco. During the match, Mr. Fuji stood in a neutral corner. Toward the end of the match, the Powers of Pain came down to ringside and watched the match for a moment. While Muraco scooped up Kabuki for the belly-to-belly piledriver, Fuji jumped on the ring apron and the Powers of Pain climbed into the ring and attacked Muraco. Kabuki covered Muraco for the pinfall and the win and then left ringside with Fuji and the Powers of Pain.

In the back, the new LCW Television Champion Brutus Beefcake met with Ron Garvin and Garvin congratulated Beefcake. Beefcake told Garvin that if he wanted a shot at the title, he’d get first priority and Garvin said his first priority is The Genius Lanny Poffo and Macho Man Randy Savage. Beefcake said he’d have Garvin’s back if Garvin needed his help. Garvin thanked Beefcake and said he wouldn’t need Beefcake’s help, but he’d take it. The two men shook hands and Garvin walked away.

The Destruction Crew defeated Demolition in 7:15 by pinfall when Mike Enos pinned Ax after Wayne Bloom hit Ax in the back of the head with a sledgehammer. After the match, Smash tried to help Ax to his feet, but a visibly upset Ax, holding the back of his head, pushed Smash away and walked out of the ring without Smash, who followed behind Ax.

After a video package featuring the long and storied history between LCW International Champion Big Van Vader and his former manager Harley Race played on the LegendsTron, Race came out and introduced Vader’s opponent that he selected for Vader…One Man Gang! As Race and Gang made their way to the ring, Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko talked about Gang’s recent win streak and wondered if his win streak would continue.

LCW International Champion Big Van Vader defeated One Man Gang (with Harley Race) in 9:56 by pinfall after the Vadersault. After the match, Harley Race blasted Vader with a savage chair shot, knocking Vader out. Race left ringside and walked up the entrance ramp and when he reached the entrance stage, he turned around and said, “Vader, in one month, at LCW Redemption Day, I’m going to take care of business myself. I’m going to stop skirting around the issue, I’m going to stop beating around the bush, I’m going to train harder than I have in years, I’m going to get back into the shape I used to be, the shape I was when I was a champion, the shape I was before I tied by ship to your anchor and you started bringing me down. I’m going to train to become the champion that I used to be, the champion you will never be, and in one month I’m taking my fight to you myself and taking care of business myself. In one month, LCW Redemption Day will be in my hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, where I won my first of seven NWA World Heavyweight Championships in 1973 and where I beat the Nature Boy Ric Flair for my seventh and final NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1983. In one month, in the Kemper Arena, I’m going to become the LCW International Championship by kicking your ass.” Race threw down the microphone as a bleeding Vader slowly used the ropes to pull himself up to his feet.

In the back, Bill Mercer interviewed Ric Flair, with valets Baby Doll and Dawn Marie, about his upcoming match with The Rock. Flair said tonight he was going to prove he was the man because there was no way the Rock was going to beat the man because he’d never be the man because Flair was always going to be the man.

LCW World Tag Team Champions The Midnight Express defeated the Hart Foundation when Bobby Eaton pinned Jim Neidhart after the Alabama Jam. Towards the end of the match, member of the original Midnight Express, Randy Rose, who was sitting in the front row, jumped over the steel barricade and joined Dennis Condrey in attacking Bret Hart outside the ring. Strike Force came out and tried to help Bret Hart, but it was too late as Bobby Eaton had already climbed to the top rope to hit Neidhart with the Alabama Jam.

In the back, Ric Flair was shown with Baby Doll, Dawn Marie, and Tully Blanchard, all making their way through the arena corridor on their way to the ring. LCW General Manager Nick Bockwinkel approached them and told Baby Doll and Dawn Marie that they could accompany Flair to ringside, but told Blachard that he’d have to stay in the back. Blanchard stayed behind with Bockwinkel as Flair left with Baby Doll and Dawn Marie.

Ric Flair (with Dawn Marie and Baby Doll) defeated The Rock in 15:24 by pinfall after Tully Blanchard interfered and hit Rock with the slingshot suplex while Baby Doll distracted referee Tommy Young. During the match, Rock put Flair in the Sharpshooter. Dawn Marie tried to interfere, but Rock released the Sharpshooter and hit her with the Rock Bottom. Baby Doll jumped up on the ring apron and distracted referee Tommy Young while Flair, tired from the match, hit Rock with a low blow out of desperation.
